Polyester Solutions Sound Batts (PSB) are lightweight products manufactured from thermally bonded polyester fibre, with a high percentage of recycled fibres. PSB is a non-toxic and user friendly insulation, requiring no specific protective clothing. PSB will not corrode or crumble over time. The products are white in colour.
Consumers both commercial and domestic have very good and sound reasons to specify polyester insulation, as much of the raw materials used in the manufacture is recycled material P.E.T (polyethylene terephthalate),(clear plastic beverage containers). No gloves, masks or boiler suits required to handle our range of products.

Polyester Solutions Sound Batts (PSB) are ideal for use in walls and partitions, where they provide excellent acoustic performance and reduce the noise transfer between rooms.

Acoustic Performance
Rw is the weighted sound reduction index. It is a single number used to rate the effectiveness of a system as a noise insulator. An increase in one Rw unit approximately equals a reduction of one decibel in noise level. The acoustic impact of PSB products added into wall assemblies is demonstrated below.
