What Is Included in the Technical Data
1. Product Description and Applications
Pink Partition insulation is designed for commercial metal framed partitions walls and ceilings delivering strong thermal and acoustic performance for multi residential and commercial projects.
2. Physical Characteristics
Available in multiple densities and thicknesses to suit commercial steel framed studs. It is non combustible with a firm rigid composition for easy friction fit installation and reduced labour time.
3. Acoustic Performance
Pink® Partition insulation minimises sound transfer between walls and achieves excellent Rw and Rw+Ctr ratings. The higher the Rw rating, the better the sound isolation.
4. Fire-resistance Performance
Pink® Partition insulation is deemed non-combustible and therefore will not contribute to the fuel load of a building.
5. Maximum Service Temperature
Pink® Partition insulation has a maximum service temperature of 340˚C.
6. Moisture Absorption
Pink® Partition insulation absorbs less than 0.2% moisture by volume when exposed to environmental conditions of 50˚C and 95% relative humidity for four days.
7. Alkalinity
The product receives a rating of pH9 (pH7 is neutral) and will not promote or accelerate the corrosion of steel or galvanised steel studs provided they are protected from external contamination.
8. Safe to Use
Pink® Partition insulation is manufactured from FBS-1 Glasswool Bio-Soluble Insulation® and is safe to use in any residential, commercial, or industrial application.
9. Green Star Compliant
The product avoids the use of Ozone Depleting Potential (ODP) substances in its manufacture and ensures that no harmful levels of Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC’s) are released.
