Pink Soundbreak is designed for residential buildings to reduce sound transfer through walls ceilings and floors while improving thermal performance and energy efficiency.
Available in a range of sizes and R values with different pack quantities and coverage options. It is firm for easy installation between standard studs and low itch for comfortable handling.
Enhances the sound isolation performance of standard wall systems. For example adding Pink Soundbreak can improve Rw ratings from 32 to 42 for significantly better sound reduction.
The thermal performance of Pink® Soundbreak™ varies with application and installation method. It complies with the requirements of AS/NZS 4859.1:2002 including Amendment 1.
Pink® Soundbreak™ is classified as non-combustible and achieves excellent results in early fire hazard properties tests.
The product absorbs less than 0.2% moisture by volume when exposed to environmental conditions of 50˚C and 95% relative humidity for four days.
Pink® Soundbreak™ is manufactured from FBS-1 Glasswool Bio-Soluble Insulation®, which is safe to use and meets the criteria of the Australian Safety and Compensation Council to be classified as non-hazardous.
Pink Soundbreak is GECA Ecolabel certified and Green Star compliant. It is manufactured without ODP substances and helps reduce VOC emissions for a healthier environment.
The product receives a rating of pH9 (pH7 is neutral) and will not promote or accelerate the corrosion of steel or galvanised steel studs provided they are protected from external contamination.
Pink® Soundbreak™ has a maximum service temperature of 340˚C.
